After getting a dose of inspiration over on the DCC thread, I finished-up installing an ESU LokSound decoder in an Arnold SW-1 switcher this week. I went a step further by installing three SMD capacitors, which are sandwiched between the chassis and speaker enclosure. Wire grab irons and weathering finished it off.

Started hanging shelf tracks today. I finally got everything in fro Home Depot; last week’s winter storm messed up the order. Lots still left to do!

I've been working on installing a road overpass and surrounding scenery on this curve. Got ground cover and ballast down this week.

I've started doing a lot of drawing this week and have started doing some test cutting with the Silhouette Cameo 3.  I'm learning the possibilities and limitations and so far I'm excited.  I may have to start a thread in the scratch building forum.  Below are some screen shots of the Park Hotel and Carpenter Paper Company, both in Missoula.

@hegstad1 I've seen the Cameo cutters listed online, and I've been curious about them, their ease of use, and their capabilities. I hope you do start a thread and chronicle your experience with it. Sounds like it would be very informative!

I would also like to see a thread on the Cameo cutter as I have acquired one but haven't put it to use yet.

Cheers,

Please do start a thread. I have one now four years old sitting in the box unopen, got it on sale just before the move west. I need to put it to use finally.

I guess we need an 8th thread describing how Cameos work.  I suppose that everybody uses those machines differently.
