Update Briggs Models C-415

Hello Gentleman

A quick update on the N scale C-415 project.

Enough modellers have indicated they would be interested in order this kit to make the project a go. Jeff is working to have the kits ready for early February.

The C415 etched parts are in and I can share the attached photograph of them with you.

Print samples of C415 parts should be ready to go by next week.

Please feel free to share this information with other modelers who may be interested in purchasing this kit.

If you know of someone who may be interested in purchasing this kit please email me at chrisd@briggsmanuafacturingassociates.com and I will make sure they get on this list so they don’t miss out as there are limited quantities available.

Kind regards,
Chris

I'm still very much in and I think I can convince others as well.
Can you remind me how the mechanism and frame part will be addressed on these?

Any decisions on the GP40-2LW?
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Bryan: The mechanism and frame will be very similar to the Briggs SDL-39. Hopefully I will be able to post photos this weekend.  The link below will give you an idea of what they will look like.

Daniel: We are still approximately 10 GP40-2LW kits away from making this a viable project. Spread the word as I want a few of these for myself.

Kind regards,

Chris

Is it a GP40-2L or a GP40-2W?

The -2L is approximately 5" taller than the -2W due to the frame they were built with. 9400-9632 were -2L's, while 9633-9667 and all 11 GO Transit units were the -2W.

Been a while since I've been REALLY excited about an N scale release as I am with the C-415's. Seeing the recent print samples of the TOFC car has a LOT to do with it. The print quality on that model...at least judging from the pictures....seems like a real game-changer to me. The etchings look great too!

I saw the first set of printed parts for this kit this morning.  Very interesting prototype and very promising model; looking forward to seeing a few built by our Railwire crew.

"manuafacturing" is spelled wrong.
