I’m pleased to announce a project I’ve been working on, with Alex Kovach of Kato, the last few months...
“NTRAK has contracted with Kato to produce their caboose with the new T-TRAK logo. These should be available in late April, in the NTRAK Company Store, priced at $45.00 including shipping.”
The last ( and only) Kato T-TRAK caboose was commissioned back in 2001 and sported the original heritage T-TRAK logo.
This new run will feature the new ‘speed lettering- double track’ logo.

I hear you.  Since I am only building one module (with no plans to continue building additional modules because I'm not going to be able to freely attend a lot of shows), I splurged and bought a laser cut frame.  It also helps that my planned scenery doesn't project below the track in my plan, so for $26.50, it was a no-brainer.  If, like you, I were to build additional modules, yeah, I'd follow suit and use all sorts of scraps that I have lying around to build the frame.

Something else I've enjoyed, about building/having a T-TRAK module, is the ease that they can be used as a photo diorama...
I took this module to an open field a few minutes from my house, then photographed it in the natural sunlight.

In years past at the ARS-Springfield train show, Moxie had a booth and gave away sample cups of their distinctively flavored beverage.
The exhibitor would tell the kiddies that it was "just like Coca-Cola" and then bystanders would get a good chuckle out of watching their expressions change as the medicinal taste hit home.

I LOVE Moxie. I know it's a New England staple, but we have a pizza place in Windber, PA that still sells it.
