Turntable auto reverse

Just got a Walthers DCC 130' turntable.Do I need to install a auto reverse board of i use it in the DCC mode???

For the turntable motor itself, or for the track?

For the track, definitely not (the track is self-reversing w.r.t. polarity, which is why it has a spot in its rotation where the track is dead).

I'm not controlling the turntable motor with DCC, but can't see why an auto-reverser would be helpful.  The motor itself isn't going to cross any block boundaries.
