N Scale PGE/BC Rail 52' 6" TOFC Flat car

Don't remember ever seeing a tank trailer on a flatcar.  But, then, my train watching was mostly limited to Pasco and eastern Kentucky.

That's a natural gas trailer, I think.

Things are a bit different when sending TOFC into remote areas.

Ontario Northland also runs some dedicated TOFC and express service between Cochrane and Moosonee, Ontario - there's no road connection to Moosonee (there are roads in town, but it's 100 miles from connecting to the rest of the provincial road network) so that train carries any kind of vehicle on flatcars as well as TOFC.

Chris:  That's what I figured.  All of my train watching has been in areas with good highways - or I wouldn't have been there!
