Walthers, I been supporting BLI for some time now from my own pockets.  I noticed on the PRR version there are no ant on the roof.

Ahh... And this brings us back around to the age old debate... are we model builders, or model buyers.  I know I know... life is busy, yada yada.  Sitting on your haunches waiting for the manufacturer to do exactly what you want, then bellyaching about it when they get it wrong.

Shut up and buy a Dremel tool and learn how to paint and decal.  Ya bunch of numpties.

I know I'm not the best with a dremel, but how do you use one to paint and decal?

1:192 scale completely scratchbuilt. I know how to use a Dremel and hung many ants on PRR engines.

We?
I too was itching to say something for a long time, but restrained myself. I'm glad others also found it bit annoying.

There were a few of us (myself included which I resized two for him) who presented with a few smaller options.  All he had to do was to save the image off the screen and voila.

I think we can all agree that for a signature picture, it's just too large.

Frankly, I didn't even think about the size because that little tilt bothers me so much....

Nice Pennsy stuff however....

Would have figured that the out-of-focus locos in the upper left-hand corner were more vexing for a UP fan.

Haha! I'm also a closet Pennsy fan even though I'll never buy any Pennsy engines or run a Broadway Limited on my U.P. mainlines.  Truth is, I've got several Pennsy "Rapids" sleepers both in Broadway Limited and U.P. Yellow paint that run on my City passenger trains...just like the real deal did.  Plenty of prototype photos show a lot of eastern road freight cars on Big Boy and Turbine pulled freights up the Wasatch Grade in the late 40's and early 50's, so I've got a good collection of Pennsy specific cars to conform to those reference photos.

Just like the U.P. with its very distinctive motive power, I really love the way the Pennsy steam engines with their Belpaire smokeboxes and characteristic reddish brown tender & cab tops look...along with that oversized radio antenna on a lot of their equipment.  I'm no Pennsy expert, but there's just something about big, powerful and ugly engines that's very appealing to me...and both Pennsy and the U.P. were famous for all three qualities.

As for the "tilt"...being a pro photographer, you learn early on that if you're going to have tilt in your photo, make it noticeable enough that people will think you did it on purpose.  A little bit of tilt screams "mistake" to a pro photographer...so it's more of a reflex than a criticism, and I use both my electronic level as well as a fine cross-grid in my viewfinder to help me keep the camera straight...with a final solution in Photoshop if all else fails!

Cheerio!
