Generic decoders????!!!!

I never knew such things exist but a friend of mine who just came into the hobby and gone hog wide found this.  Anyone heard of these?  They look like your typical Chinese knock offs?

Interesting that the listing says they are >8 years old. They seem to be a knockoff of the TCS Z2, or maybe a really old version of them.

That wouldn't be surprising at all.  If they also copied the firmware (because why not?), the early Z2s had a bug with 3-step speed table.

i bought some, a ten pack, maybe three years ago , worked well ..
they had wires for a stay alive added on

I installed the same decoder in an SW1200 this past weekend. Works well and is half the cost of a Digitrax DZ126T. I did notice that the wires are a bit thinner and less flexible than found on other manufacturers' decoders.

Does it list a manufacturer on the CVs?

Do you have a CV list? I'm looking specifically for Vmin, Vmid, Vmax, long addresses ad advanced consisting. Kick start voltage and frequency would be good as well.

Interesting... The functions seem rather robust. They also have full manuals on their rather sparse website. I might have to check these out.
