Spent yesterday working as docent on Arthur Foss, the oldest wood tugboat afloat in the world (and originally a railroad owned tug).

Friday I rebuilt the water end of the general service pump on Virginia V (steam ship I work on).  The steam end was fine, but the water end had a blown gasket.

A nice coat of primer will take care of those raster lines.  I've also wondered about, but not tried yet, dabbing a small bit of liquid resin, hitting it with a blow drier and letting it smooth out, then in for another round under the UV hood.  I bet it would work, but would likely take some practice, though might not be as practical as just smoothing with prime

Where can I buy some pre-made models? And is that a Diamond T?

While most of the features seem to be nice and crisp, the fuel tank or battery box looks like someone hit its bottom with a sledgehammer.  The "fender" in front of the rear wheels also looks a bit squirrely. I'm not knocking the model - it looks mostly great, but is is not quite all there.

Yeah I'm not sure if the gas tank was a support that chipped when I broke it off or not. The 3D file was a 1:24 scale truck that was reduced to N so all the bottom of the truck is there. Axles, leaf springs, even the drive shaft printed. If the file was optimized for N scale it would probably be much better. But hey I can work with it

Nothing that a little careful filing and/or sanding can't fix. Besides, most of the issues likely won't be visible under normal viewing; macro photography is a blessing and a curse.

I've seen mention of fixing spots, maybe like a support taking a chunk off of a corner, by adding resin with a small appropriate tool and coaxing it right in hand with a UV flashlight.  I suspect there could be application at some point for that technique.  You could position the part to favor good filler placement and cure.

Another bridge under construction, this is a B&O skewed through plate girder, I got the plans from an early 1900s railroad engineering book. Still got to add stiffeners and rivets ect.
