My newest project: Baldwin DS-4-4-1000. She will be SP Tiger stripe (I have yet to decide on her road number -- 1393 - 1402)

Couple of years ago I serviced a similar model. If you are interested, check out https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=38297.0

Oooh, moving day. Keep a close eye on those remotes; a couple of mine disappeared on moving day. And 'train porn' is a familiar term around this household.
I hope everything goes smoothly on the day

Very nice work, Bill.  Does this mean that my FVM rib side express boxcar (No. 312) is a foob? Or did they have several "classes" of express boxcars?

They had several types of express boxcars. There were 50 Standard height 50 foot cars converted to express service in Dec 1949 numbered 950-999. Another 50 were added in Nov 1950 as #300-349. During 1956-57 all standard height express cars went back to revenue freight service.

Today I hosted a group of friends from the Sunshine Coast for an operating session.  This was my first daytime session and we stopped at the halfway point for a lunch and social, which made for a relaxing day.  Despite its isolation from the Lower Mainland (a ferry is required to get there), there is an active modelling community on the Sunshine Coast and they have hosted visits from us as well.

Graham models the Powell River logging scene in N Scale, and is seen here making up the outbound trains in Chetwynd Yard:

Gord has a large CP Rail layout in N Scale which was featured in NSM a few years back, and Jake is a PGE/BCR modeller in HO Scale.  Here dispatcher Gord is dictating a clearance for the Dawson Creek Switcher to Jake:

The Dawson Creek Switcher crosses the Kiskatinaw River en route to Dawson Creek.  The was the first trip to Dawson Creek for C-425s 804 and 812:

Bob also models the PGE in HO Scale, and is seen here arriving in Septimus with the northbound turn:

RS-18s 613 and 607 are seen returning to Chetwynd with the southbound tonnage from Septimus:

Work Extra 810 has stopped at Sundance to load more ballast:

The operating system is now settling in and the layout is working well.  After next week's session I will likely begin fine tuning of rolling stock and turnouts.

Got my parts from Rodney who offered to print me up the ties for my double track "Green River Viaduct"  All I can say Is WOW
he thought of everything.  made me spacers an those helped out a lot.

his tie template is so easy to use, with the shallow ties for you to glue in some PC ties

got the 4 beams all glued together and just getting the ties glued in, BUT this has to be the best jump forward I have done in a long time

My extreme thanks to Rodney  or Rodsup9000
Hopefully tomorrow i can get the towers glued in place and then I have to slow down and let everything cure, But.... it's so hard not to keep going

So where is this Sunshine Coast?  City, state, country?

I assumed Tim meant Florida, until he mentioned the ferry.

Then again "sunshine" is a relative term, when you live in Canada :D
Tim, your  layout is progressing nicely, it's great to be able to do ops before it's finished.

Our Sunshine Coast here in British Columbia, Canada is due northwest of Vancouver.  It is an isolated stretch of mainland coastline on the other side of Howe Sound, and is accessible by ferry from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver.  It includes the communities of Gibsons, Roberts Creek and Sechelt, and reaches Earl's Cove, from where another ferry ride takes you to another isolated stretch including the community of Powell River and Lund.
