Hi,

Does anyone know why these are not for sale?  I could so use one.

https://www.shapeways.com/product/C2BDNHH2F/n-scale-high-hood-conversion-for-kato-gp30

When I click on the link, the page tells me “not for sale”.

Sorry if this was covered in a previous topic.

Cheers
Allan

Have you clicked on the contact the designer button? FYI you need to be logged in to use that feature. Just a thought.

I believe I did sign up to shapeways and send a message to the designer mid August, but no response as yet.

James Will suffered some pretty massive health issues a year or two ago.  I don't remember the outcome, but I do remember him suspending all his businesses at the time.  He also used to sell some pretty fabulous resin vehicle models. All to say his Shapeways shop may not be a going concern anymore.

I don't know much about the process of designing and uploading of items to Shapeways, but I guess you have to to upload it to print it, to see if it works. Maybe he's being ethical and not letting you buy something that he doesn't know works yet. Model trains is hobby of patience sometimes.
