Whoop! Rapido 8600s!

Got a box full of Rapido 8600s today. Very pleased with these models. As with previous Rapido passenger cars, these have intricate underbody detail, free-standing grabs, etched end safety gates, and Easy Peasy light boards. Most of the models I acquired are in the New Image scheme with fixed steps and no skirts, along with a couple of oddball (in 1956) configurations, and some undecs that will be kitbashed into parlors, baggage cars, and grill cars or diners. These are must-have models for New Haven N scale modelers.

Quasi related but I own a few of the HO ones in MBTA and they are very nice. Quite a fleet you have there! Stunning cars.

Correct.  Thought Rapido had MBTA in this first release, but I may be thinking of the HO model.

Cool!  Thanks! So I won't have to custom-paint them.  Somehow I totally missed these. I used to look at the BLW site for new product announcements, but . . . I don't like to be on mailing lists, or on Facebook.

But are these out or not?  The Rapido preorders are closed - will my "local" online dealer (like MBK) have them available?

They are out and en route to distributors and dealers. Watch for them to surface in general within the next few days. MBK definitely will have them.
