This week I applied decals to my first freight car from a 3D printed kit:

The HSC welded gondola is from a Briggs Models kit.  Next is installation of custom tungsten weight, underframe, and application of weathering.

Shell swap in progress.  This gets a frame with factory installed ESU sound decoder (with Full Throttle) under this much older Aberdeen & Rockfish RR GP38 shell.  Couplers and a smaller fuel tank to be installed next:

The engine house. A modular helix. Every week people on this forum raise the bar. I look forward to it. Keeps us humble. Haha.

Great job EVERYONE.

Craig.

Looks great Tim. Who’s decals did you use?

I'm adding two more steeds to the barn that were custom painted for me (I wish I was this talented). The SW1500 is mostly prototypical, minus the handrails; I couldn't wait forever @Shipsure:D And the GP30 is a custom foob for me (favorite EMD cab/scheme/railroad). Only thing left to do is add DCC.

I do have a small admission. The GP30 was an Atlas factory painted KCS white locomotive. Sorry @Philip H . I kept it's KCS number since it doesn't interfere with the Rock's roster in 1979.

Let it be known Mark Dance has had his heart replaced with 100 Hummingbird hearts . If you want to see him at work you will need to play back images taken with a slowmo camera .

Hi Craig:

Philippe prepared the artwork from my notes and Highball Graphics printed them.

I spent the last few days at RPM Chicagoland with the N scale Modutrak group.
It was an excellent conference with many, many outstanding models displayed and a full schedule of clinics and demonstrations.
