I know the layout's not finished, LOL...but enjoy an engineer's-eye view anyway!

Awesome! What a nice tour of the layout. I like how the restricted view avoids the sense of 180-degree curves and such, and some of the scenes are magnificent.

Some observations...

The camera car (whatever you're using) wobbles side-to-side a bit, which suggests it may need some stabilizing pads on one of the bolsters.

Also, when the layout is further along, think about hanging light blue drapes across the open end of the space to block the view of the rest of the room.

Looking forward to more.

Yep to both, although not sure I’ll be able to rig the drapes as you suggest due to the geometry of both the alcove and the layout.  As for the flatcar I’ll have a look; I put weights on it to make it a little less bouncy.  It’s a Blackstone D&RGW 6000-series flat and it’s pretty light.

I literally got the camera two hours before I made the vid (thanks to Amazon Prime’s Sunday delivery) so this was a proof-of-concept.

An interesting video. I kept looking at the structures thinking what a huge amount of work has already gone into this layout. Thanks for sharing. Very enjoyable.

So I don't know what happened...  The sound is totally out of synch by a minute or more.  I'm going to try to upload it again.

Beautiful. Backdrops are extremely effective in "opening up" the layout to the wider world.

Hang on, I have a much better version uploading.  It has a track plan and subtitles to tell you where you are.  Plus a little western music!
