Hmmmm. Maybe I’m not done yet. My park car would look better if put a Z scale coupler on the back, closed in the gap, and add some electrical connections. I’ll have to check if those were present in the steam heat era. But a Z scale coupler would really look better.

Craig.
Or even better: MTL true scale coupler.  :)
Unless you are planning on switching that car and need to couple to the rear.

Those would have been added during the HEP conversion of the early 90s. You would be able to add steam lines for your era though!
Because why not...

I don’t plan on coupling to the rear. And I have some true scale couplers. I’ll have a look at them. The Z scale couplers I have are the Lee English Bowser couplers. They look very good too. That’s what’s on the FP9A.

Good call Fredrick.

Regardless of how good the Z-scale LE Bowser couplers looks, the MTL TSC is the closest in shape and size to the real 1:1 AAR knuckle coupler available.

Good to know Pete, thanks. I’ll use one of them then.

Ok so the park car got a True Scale coupler with a brake line, and a steam line.

And the FP9A got windshields and windshield wipers.

I don’t like the Kato skirted Budd trucks on the Park car so those will be replaced by better ones when I can, but for now, this train is officially complete.

Looking at that last picture, looks like you have "skirted" passenger trucks on the Obs. They have a flat featureless top part that was designed not to hit the extended skirts of a passenger car side. KATO makes them, I believe. However, you have cut out the skirts for the trucks so you might want to substitute full-side passenger trucks since they won't hit the skirting on curves.

Well done - a train which definitely deserves to be modelled.

Thanks guys.

Yes I mentioned the skirted trucks and do plan to replace them.
