@GaryHinshaw and @Smike , outstanding work and thank you both for taking the time and explain to us how it's done, very appreciated.

Great weekend work here. Lots of neat weathering to boot.

The body-mounting campaign continues with some cement hoppers:

I've also been playing around with some weathering techniques:

It's hard to ignore the slightly clunky end cage detail in these close-up shots, but they look ok in real life.  Can't wait for the IM 3281 hoppers to add a little variety to the fleet.  :)

 :o This exceptional, wow outstanding work. I'm getting inspired  8) I love seeing the bar raised higher and higher. That ballast is perfect too. This has it all exceptional track work and rolling stock modifications and weathering.

Nice!   What really works well here too is, the tagging is subtle and not over-pronounced.   Too often I see models with tags from decals that have overly-bold coloring, coarse printing, and/or cartoonish patterns. The ones you have here blend in nicely and also have the covering of fade/grime to avoid that 'freshly painted' look.

@chuck geiger
Is that bridge fitted so tightly between the abutments that it is causing that much deflection in the bridge?
Now I can see why you had piers positioned under the bridge to help prop up the center.
I would definitely file the abutments to widen the gap some and take the pressure off of the bridge if that is indeed what is going on here.
Yes it is...I need to clear out the stone and get some shoes. This kit was a bit overkill and sags. I will try to clean it up. Thanks for the catch W.

Wazzou that sagging Playboy magazine grandma is better. Cut out the foam for more slack on one side, loosened up the fit and will adjust gussets, that is one of the problems, some are too tight and I used strip wood instead of the CVMW ones.

I'm digging it.  What exactly is the Schnabel carrying though?
