According to nsdash9's FB page, Norfolk Southern has placed an order for 40 Tier 3 Credit SD70ACe's and 10 SD70ACe-T4's. This is their first new EMD order since 2014.

Gosh. Finally, something to interrupt NS's monotony of toasters through here. :trollface:

Any hints they're going to mess with paint schemes yet again? We had the Virginian heritage unit on our local for a couple of weeks recently.

Maybe we can get a tier 4 sd70 now that two railroads will own them. Although it being NS it will have a different cab

Yes, hopefully this will make an N scale Tier 4 EMD more viable. The more I look at them, the more I like them.
