Just kidding.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

We can't fault you for that.  But no, it's just a bearded prankster lurking around . . .

Sweet!  Long live DEC!  :D  While I did not work at DEC, my GF has (and so have several friends), and I currently work in an ex-DEC building (ZKO in Nashua NH).

Oh, ZKO is like Mecca for DEC fans.  I also did not ever work for DEC, but I was a contractor of theirs at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton from 1990-1994.  I did end up working for HP from 2006-2008 so I worked for a DEC descendant. (of sorts)

I know we've had this before.  I think we talked about the barcode that was on the wall at ZKO.   http://hallsofzk.org/barcode.html

My first job was with DEC in ZKO - the same building where Pete works today!
I can tell you that there was very nearly a geek riot when management made the change to that barcode from
DIGITALSOFTWA
REENGINEERING
to faux-motivational management-school nonsense.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Yes John, I believe that we discussed DEC in the past.  And I had a private exchange about DEC just recently with George.

High-tech world is like a closed ecosystem. The same people rotate through various computer companies.  Any time I change jobs, I run into someone that either worked with me in the past ,or knows someone I worked with.
Back in 2008, when I started working at ZKO there was still plenty of traces of DEC (many abandoned cubicle areas, and lots of abandoned equipment and other neat stuff).  We used to go on treasure hunts and found all sorts of interesting DEC goodies.  But at this point it is all gone and all 3 buildings are almost at 100% occupancy.  It is now called NTP (Nashua Technology Park).  Coincidence?  Maybe.

I have been unable to ger to TRW VIA Google Chrome or Seamonkey on my laptop .  Had to download FireFox to get in .  Message in chrome and seamonkey says site is not secured . If I try to ignore the warning and try to go to TRW anyway I always end up at some audio site ...Sum ting wong ! ...Mike
