Also using 10.10.5 for the same reasons as C855B and current on security. I do notice that the padlock at the top of the pages in TRW (when I use Firefox) has a warning that some of the page is not secure, so that may be the issue with Safari deciding the connection as a whole may not be secure and bailing on me.With respect to the Chrome line being very high, don't forget about Chromebooks which have apparently invaded the school market as they are supposed to require little or no admin overhead. That could be distorting the figures?Jon
If you mean inferior to Chrome (the green line), then sure, but the second most globally used browser on the web - I wouldn't call "inferior".
I browse with my iPad and just checked Safari on my iMac ...
I had no idea that Chrome had become such a force majeur. That is scary, given Google's well-earned rep for snoopware. Is it because of Android's dominance in the worldwide phone market? That Safari is second is completely explainable by iPhones and iPads.I'd like to see that graph rejiggered, eliminating phones and tablets.
Thanks. Surprised that IE is still that much of a player.

The bad part of this is that the "Domestic Overlord's" machine (early 2009 iMac) will not upgrade from Yosemite
This is being written on an early 2009 iMac. These models can be upgraded to El Capitan (10.11.6 in my case), but no further.
