I'm proud to announce the re-launch of https://www.johnpmedia.com/

For those of you who don't know, John makes some of the best railfan DVDs. They're made especially great by their narration by "Big Mike" Bednar who was THERE for much of the subject matter and narrates like he's telling you the story.

I'm a big fan of John's stuff and he's a great guy so when he asked me to help him sort out some website issues, I HAD to help him out.

John's new site is built in Squarespace so it uses all of the newest nicest encryption, etc... and should be easy for him to maintain. He's got some awesome new stuff coming, so check back frequently (and join his mailing list once I get it setup).

You can see the trailers for a bunch of my favorite videos here:

This is a good one to get started if you've never watched them before.

Now of he just had a Bednar family in the PNW, I would be all over this. I picked up a couple of the Bednar 70s era DVDs before heading to Portland and they're amazing, if you're a PA/NY modeler. Not being that anymore, well...

There might be one, you just gotta look.

I'd argue that you don't need to want to model the area to appreciate them. I've told John numerous time I'd buy copies of "Mike Bednar Narrates Paint Dry Vol 1" for everyone on my christmas list.

I agree! It's why I'm taking my payment in product.

I'm DEFINITELY gonna get high on my own supply.

Ed,

I can't thank you enough. Those videos are jewels. One of his videos was playing at Springfield 2 years ago. I was attracted to it as it featured high quality images of 70s trains,  Lehigh Valley to be exact. I had a passing interest in the LV, I admit. But while the high quality images attracted me, the friendly, no nonsense, story telling narration sold me. Sometimes I'll watch it just for Mike's narration. Its like listening to my favorite uncle tell stories about his railroading days. I'll buy more of these thanks to your efforts. I owe you one.
Buffering...

Ed, I agree, John Pechulis has some of the best railfan videos available anywhere and yes I love Mike Bednar's commentary.

So far I have the following complete sets of videos

The Anthracite Railroads in the 70's
The Lehigh & New England Railroad
Railfanning the Delaware & Hudson
Railfanning The Appalachian Region
Short Lines & Branch Lines.

He has so many great videos, they will be on my birthday and Christmas list for years  :D
