PS 4785's and C39-8's!  Excellent.  If Intermountain's version of the PS 4785 has not died on the vine yet, this announcement will finish it off.  I saw the HO version of this car at the WGH show in Monroeville, PA this past Winter, and they were fantastic.  They even had multiple Conrail paint schemes applied to the cars.  It looks like the first Conrail cars are ex NYC 138H's.  There is one road number depicting an early Altoona Car Shop repaint with the "skinny" logo (never done before in N scale) and three 10-77 Hollidaysburg Car Shop repaints.  I am in for all four cars along with the PC releases.  I really do not need the C39-8's as they are two years too new for me, but I might get them to support the cause.  I remember seeing these when they were new in 1986 pulling mixed manifests up the Conemaugh Line across the river from my father's place.  Great memories.  Thanks Scale Trains.

I guess we can figure future N releases will be what was released in HO earlier.  Does the mold making scale down or is it because all the research work was done for HO?

Mostly research, maybe some of the CAD can be scaled but it would have to be extensively tweaked because the materials and assembly tolerances do not scale.

Do they charge cards on pre-orders, or only when shipped?

C39-8's would occasionally wander into Toronto from Montreal in late 90's, 'borrowed' of of SECN/CNSE to equalize HPH. SD50's were by far the most common, but pretty much everything could and would show up eventually... I even remember chasing a train with a C32-8 once.

I'm in for one... mebbe two.

The 4785's are also nice... always appreciate variety in the fleet.

This is awesome the PS 4785 8) this is what I was hoping for. I'll get a Conrail C39-8 even though it's out of my era I like the boxy GEs I have a couple Atlas 8-40Bs one in Conrail and a Santa Fe. Looking forward to seeing these.

Charge when shipped...

And I got a call from ST to let me know the shipment of ES44's I reserved was ready for payment and if it was okay to charge the card.  That was a first for me.   I really appreciated that touch to make sure I didn't totally drain my account...  :D

Figured that but wasn’t sure thanks Mike

I swore that the Santa Fe had a few of these.  I guess they were Bs?  Darn.

Dang... Just rediculous to be modeling NS these days, pure gluttony. I’m def in for at least one. They did such a great job with their T4. Cant wait. I’ll pick up a few of the CR 4785’s too.

I'm surprised they're only doing three schemes.

CSX had them to.  In at least 3 schemes.
