Getting the layout ready and tested for the open house next week.

Ed,

The first 2 pics look awesome.  Very realistic!

It is hard to see it in this photo, but if they aren't yet, are you planning on sealing the holes where the wires come out (for maximizing the sound quality)?

Yes, sealed with thick CA, but I drilled the minimum size hole required to get the wires through so there was negligible space left to fill.

I've been working on a CMR double-track lift bridge the last couple of weeks. It's assembled (sans counterweights) and painted. Just needs some weathering, track, etc. The lift bridge looks a lot like the Pennsylvania Railroad's 14th Street bridge that crosses the Ohio River into Louisville. So, I couldn't resist! I'll build a new module for the bridge, then reconfigure the layout to fit it in. The plan is to situate it at the throat of the yard, just like Pennsy's 14th Street Yard in Louisville.

Built legs for the peninsula and started laminating foam to the shelves for the Rio Grande Southern but took a break from that today to build the first of three trestles:

The white X's are for visibility at grade crossings.

@Ntrainz1 has renumbered (to non-duplicate numbers) several of my PRR RS3s AND turned an Atlas VO-1000 into a Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines ~BS12 for me. (The photo is from his layout.)

A real PRSL BS12:

Lot's of good looking work this week.  Thanks for sharing.

Just about finished assembling the covered hopper project.  More in the AC&Y Layout Engineering thread.
