Ed, you've got some erosion under that middle pier. The spring melt/high water? ;)

    • Trying to model the BCR Fort St John BC (again)...while living in Australia (what could possibly go wrong?)

New Zealand winter is fast approaching so spending time inside and moving ahead with track laying at the Fort St John yard.

Soldering feeders is as slow and tedious in the Southern Hemisphere as it was in the North.

I purchased some Bergger Pancro 400 from B&H earlier in the week.  The only logical thing to do was load up the Bronica and go to the Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia to shoot the garden railway exhibit.
The fabric of reality has begun to fray.

Installed 3 more switches so far this weekend

A shortage of joiners caused a pause but I'm full steam ahead now

At this point I only have 2 switches left to install. One still has to be built though.

After this I can focus on painting the rails and then getting all the buildings in place. I also need to find some solid masonite to install the fascia.

Finally made some more process on my @randgust Climax kit.
I couldn't resist setting the shell on the frame to see what it will look like.
Still several more steps to go and a lot of weathering and details to add before this is done.

moving ahead with track laying at the Fort St John yard

Nice to see progress on the other half of the Peace Division!

Installation of control panels for Chetwynd Yard is now underway with the first two now in place and operational.  The work consists of installing the angled panel mounts, inserting the toggle switches into the control panels, installing the panels on their mounts, and then connecting the toggle leads to the Singlet servo controllers.

At bottom right, panel for the Imperial Oil spur:

Panel for the Canfor Ltd. mill trackage:

I also assembled a log loader for the Canfor mill.  I installed the loader assembly in the raised position and articulated the clamp so that it can hold a log load in mid-air above the log sort:

I also completed a new batch of speaker enclosures for future sound installs:

It is hard to see it in this photo, but if they aren't yet, are you planning on sealing the holes where the wires come out (for maximizing the sound quality)?

Getting the layout ready and tested for the open house next week.

Looking good Ed, I may have seen a notice about some Western Maryland GP40's doing a run through?   :D

Getting up the stones to attack The Central Valley Pratt Truss kit. Didn't purchase separate rail, hope I can strip a section of ME C-55 and insert to the spiked strip on the ties on the bridge deck.
