I noticed that you used the phrase "Dull Cote" in your text.  If you use it as a product's brand name of that Testor's Flat Lacquer, then IMO it should be "Dullcote" (one word, "C" not capitalized).  That is the most common name for this product (used both by the manufacturer and by the modelers).



Yes, there was a period (some years ago) when Testors used a black label where they used "DULL COTE", but before and after that, this product's name was and is Dullcote.  I might be splitting hairs, but that's just the way I am.

I always used the version of Dull Cote with the space because that black can is what I had when I started the first book and I used it as a reference.

The book looks great, but I often notice the small stuff. I'm Peteski dammit! 

I don't get get all the brouhaha about me pointing out something which I found not to be accurate (going by the most popular name for that product). I wasn't wrong and I provided plenty of proof as to why I thought the product name was not following the most frequently used name. I was not belligerent, snippy or even snarky.  also replied in a civil tone with his reasons for using the other name.  We're good - move along - nothing to see here.

If I would have received a down-vote for that post I would have been pissed, since I was not trolling or even being snarky.  After all, isn't this forum for voicing opinions about someone's work?

Let me reiterrate:  Tom's book looks awesome, and I love its layout and composition. Very clever and creative (even if he uses "Dull Cote").

 It’s all good!  I appreciate Peteski pointing it out.  Changing it is at the bottom of my to do list since they themselves spell it with the space.
