Let me make a quick suggestion WRT backdrops. Go to your local discount store of choice (Target, Walmart, whatever that local one you have out in Ohio is...) and grab yourself some sheets of foamcore, some wide masking tape and maybe some spring clamps. You NOW have a portable backdrop that you can clamp on anywhere in any field of vision. Yes, it's white. Yes, that works for ME because I'm modeling crappy weather, but it ALSO makes it very easy to photoshop whatever sky you want into it.If you want to get really fancy, you can get one of those sky prints and glue or tape it on. Or you could spray it with some blue paint. But either way, it's a quick cheap way to get less cluttered photographs of a work-in-progress. And now that I've said that, off to Amazon to restock my own foam stash.
About 15 years ago, BLW had MTL make a special run 3-pack of O&W hoppers.Bluford and Bowser have new O&W hopper models in the pipeline:http://www.bluford-shops.com/bluford_93_023.htmhttp://www.bowser-trains.com/history/nscalegla.html
Oh, and in other exciting news... the old Mazda 3 has been replaced with this 310hp monster.Yes, it's a Buick. Yes, it's a hatchback. And yes, the morning after I bought it I noticed a very obvious gray hair in my beard.Still, it's fun as hell to drive and has room for the Shep Squad or four railfans and their supplies. It's not the Porsche Panamera I was hoping for, but I figure that'll be my treat for when I make VP...
Maybe Tom will be so kind as to weather one of those shots of your new car Ed . Or put a stealth flat black ConRail logo on it . Happy Motoring .
