"This Saturday is National Train Day! What better way to celebrate than getting a
new train - a whole train! Get a couple of locomotives, get some cars, and have a
bunch of fun at a great price! Plus, you get to pick what you get...."

Nothing there for me.  None of the locos existed in my era, so there's no point looking at the freight cars.

There was a post 4 days ago on the FVM facebook page with a train update and also about his young son who needs another heart surgery. With a long stay, it's going to be an expensive summer for the family. Here's part of Matt's post and a link below if you want to read the full update.

"...As most of you know, we have a son with a heart condition that has required several surgeries. Our next one is being done by a specialist in CA at Stanford. We leave in just over a month and will be able to attend the N Scale Enthusiast Convention in June. Immediately following, we head to CA. The first week of July has various test and procedures scheduled before his surgery on July 6th. Recovery can be anywhere from 3-6 weeks, so we will be out west for an extended time..."

While the price is good, it’s not much different from online shops with discounts. So I wasn’t interested. However, if this is somehow related to his child’s condition, needing funds immediately, I would be more than happy to make a purchase. I’m not on Facebook so could anyone verify. Thanks.

I made that logic jump. If I were in business and had a potential 6 week stay in one of the most expensive locations in California, I'd have a sale.

That poor kid has already lived though more pain than all of us put together. I really hope this is the last surgery he needs.

There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

I ended up doing a order. I picked out a variety of cars and everything was available. Got a quick invoice and was told it would ship today or Monday.

Link below if you don't need more trains, but still want to help out the Gaudynski's directly.  They certainly appreciate all the Railwire members that have assisted to date.

Same here.. My order shipped same day Friday - Got it today!!!!..

Also.. after I had ordered the "Conrail ES44" it occurred to me.. is it the NS or CSX version?.. I emailed Matt and asked that he send an NS version if he had it..
