Will BLI deliver 3 (4?) new engines before Rapido???

After the PRR M1 vaporware debacle who would have thought that BLI might deliver not one, not two, not three, but four new locomotives in one year??? This videos says three, but I would count the F7 and F3 as separate engines.

It's Facebook but should be visible to most. I tried it at a location that has no Facebook login.
Thanks to John

The detail of the F-unit grills looks a little weak. BUT they look much better than the PA1 wavy etched grills.
I wish Erie had T1's

Looking forward to the T1, but I'm not holding my breath.
It's a credibility thing.

Dunno a running, unpainted T1 model gotta be close.
Also dunno about the F unit details- screen grab from the video, looks pretty detailed to me. Certainly no worse than a Kato?

I am a bit confused over the F units, because the photo ads I have seen show the ATSF F7 units with nose ladders (and that is how they are shown on the BLI website), which would have been added in the early 60s, but the ones in the video do not have those. Will they be available both ways?
I don't think it is fair to compare delivery on BLI locomotives that were announced some while back with delivery of Rapido units that have not been announced yet (if we are talking about the same Rapido locos). But in any case, each manufacturer is different.
Kind of academic for me. For the time being, I don't need any more F units, and nor an SD-40 nor a T1. If they bring out an ATSF 2-10-2, we might need to have a conversation. Likewise, I doubt any of the Rapido announcements that they previously announced they will soon announce, will contain anything I need.
It is too bad that model locomotive producers don't offer the sort of trade in incentives that the real locomotive producers used to offer. I mean, if I could trade in my trio of Bachmann F-7s on an ABB set of BLI F-7s, I might be more interested. Like trading in an Alco FA1 on a new GP-35.

Hats off to BLI for coming out with so many models this year ! I don't think its a fair comparison with Rapido because of 2 reasons
1. BLI is not as stringent on pre orders as Rapido is. Where Rapido expects purchase commitments even to decide whether to move forward, BLI seems to produce them regardless
2. BLI produces models that Rapido will not. I cannot imagine Rapido producing F3, F7 or the SD 40-2 (as much as I would love for them to produce all of them)
The net result for me is that I give BLI more credit with coming out with these models and so many of them in one year (including the AC6000, M1 P3 units, ES44). I hope these models perform and sell well.

Hope so! The Kato tooling is heavily dated and I'm tired of the errors that they seem uninterested in correcting. The IM shell is great, though I am unhappy with the way the shell "sits" on the chassis.
So ... I am waiting to see what the BLI SD40-2s are like before adding any more SD40-2s to my fleet.

I see a T1 pulling a stack train around my desert southwest layout in the not to distant future!
And if they ever make an S1, I'll buy that, too.

That T1 runs ... wow. Very smooth.
F units... nice to see variety and details IM/Kato do not have.
SD40-2.... The sound is a bit quiet. I really liked the shell detailing on the sample in Springfield.
I think BLI has found that it takes a while for N scale modelers to warm up to something new. Their PCM E7 almost ended the entire line but I'm glad they stuck with it. I have three E8s and an AC6000. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

I hope the T1 and the other locos arrive before Trump ends all trade with China.

Dang, it must be nice for Pennsy modelers to have a company that likes to make Pennsy-specific models like the T1.
I wish B&O modelers had a "Capitol Limited Imports" to make me some main-stream B&O models like the Q-4d, S1a, T-3, P1-d and E-27 that were so common on the B&O, but nobody is ever going to make in N scale. Heck, we can't even get high headlight versions of the USRAs.
