Sort of a milestone for me, so I thought I would indulge myself in a new topic. I started this project about June of 2007 (I have photographic proof somewhere). I picked away at it over the years and every year or so I would clean my work bench and nearly throw it away. I made every mistake you can imagine and no aspect of it went well. I won't list all the problems and infidelities of it, as it would be very long. The one bright spot is that because the kitbashed underframe warped over time, this was the first time I built a underframe from scratch, bolsters and all. It is the best part of the model and it can't be seen!
So here it is....my life's work (or so it seemed) and its not that great. It will be a stand in until I build a better one.
Anyone else have such a project, other than a layout, that took decades and countless hours and may not have turned out as hoped for?
