The new MSRP is 37.5% higher than the former BLMA MSRP of $124.95 for the 5-Car sets.

I need a ton of these but that’s just too much money. I understand how detailed they are but this is a unit train style of car, not a gem to stand out in a train.

If they track better they might be worth it. I sold my BLMA sets years ago because of tracking issues I didn’t have time to address.

Comparing the percentage of the MSRP increase for the 3-car and 5-car sets reveals that the latter has seen an 8.5% higher rise in price.

This revelation is based upon the following calculations:

At $119.95, the new MSRP is approximately 29% higher than the former BLMA MSRP of $84.95 for the 3-car sets.

At $199.95, the new MSRP is approximately 37.5% higher than the former BLMA MSRP of $124.95 for the 5-car sets.

Wonder why the Chinese are quoting different price increases for what appear to be similar products?

Could it be that the 5-car sets are expected to be produced in a smaller production run and that they are more time consuming or difficult to fabricate?

If I bought all numbers announced I still wouldn't have enough cars for all the Trainworx trailers I've bought.  :o
I'm very happy to see these. I've been looking for the previous releases for a few years now and they just don't exist anymore. I'll be ordering a bunch.

The center platform on the 5 platform has extra brake detail that the 3 platform center platform does not have. That plus’s the two extra platform should account for the extra expense.
Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

$200 is basically buying five $40 cars with fewer trucks and less packaging.

It's ridiculous.

Sorry to be grumpy but sitting here with no power for 7 days - and possibly until 3/14.

Bah humbug.

Undecs are $99 for the 3 pack and $164 for the 5 pack. Maybe a cheaper option to consider for some. If I did modern era, I would go this route just for the enjoyment of decorating my own.

Awesome news! So many Trainworx trailers looking for a ride with me. However the MSRP is steep, but this was/is one the most detailed N scale rolling stock item on the market ever. I could tolerate less details if it impacted the MSRP in any meaningful way.

A Trainman version would sell like hotcakes!

Agreed! Honestly once you throw trailers on them it’s really hard to notice a lot of the detail. With near unit trains running around via the prototype, this would be on par with the cost of making an auto rack unit train  :( (those at least being near $40 a pop you get 89’ scale feet  8)
