@Cajonpassfan
Otto, get the 2-6-0 now! Literally all you need are the fvm driver disks! They press directly onto the mogul axles. The have the exact same axle diameters.

Unfortunately, I already reamed the wheels for the axles that never materialized :P
What are you using for the boiler? A shortened Yulim Northern shell?

 still have a long ways to go. Here's what it will look like with a tender behind it. Its really starting to look like the prototype.

Thank you john! It will look even better with a dynamometer car behind it!

Yeah!  Looks good.  You've got the proportions right, the height of the tender and engine, the overall length and bulk of it.
This is coming out nicely.

And yes... using those big tear-drop drivers is key to this!

I've picked which locomotive of the class this will turn into. 3463, a locomotive I've seen many times as it sits up the road in topeka. I have some modifications i need to do on the boiler that i hopefully can make look correct.

Ironically, that large sand dome becomes a lot simpler on 3463.  But who's complaining, right?  :)

The plan is to shave show the current dome without screwing it up lol.

Boiler work continues.
Modified sand dome is close to done.
Pilot is on.
Boiler mounted to chassis with risers and screws.

It's no max model but Santa Fe 3463 coming closer to completion.
I cut the boiler again and brought the sand dome closer to the smoke box as it just didn't look correct. I like the proportions now and it has that compressed look of the prototype.
 The tender structure is done minus the pickups. The boiler is lacking number boards, handrails, and piping.
