I'm really happy with how my NS B40-8W has turned out. It looks almost like it was meant to be.
The MMID cars are from Precision Master, run years ago. I'm not certain how many different numbers they released, but given my research based on what shows up on eBay, sale groups and shows they only did 2 #'s, 3601 and 3628. Those 2 #'s are the only 2 I ever see for sale. This haul came as a result of actually losing an auction on eBay. I had a second chance offer sent soon after, with seller stating he had multiple 3 car sets available. I asked how many he had and he wrote back he would list another auction with remaining cars. He listed 4 sets and I bought all 4. 2 3-packs are going to a friend of mine who had asked about them.Fox Valley Models now has the molds for these cars with upgraded details etc. I have added MMID as a suggested paint scheme for them on a couple of occasions, so we'll see if they run them or not. It has not been mentioned as of yet for a release. The only thing I need to change is that these cars had 5 roof hatches, where these have 3.
Roger, I had a similar issue uploading directly from my phone. I tried dumping the file into my laptop and re-sizing the image down to 1084 x whatev and they popped right up. Perhaps has a size limit on the uploads now.Lee
We could always do a custom run .. for me, the 5 hatches isn't a big deal, but you could make a small master and cast them from expoxy
I can't upload directly from my iPad either, and they are small images. The new browser?Otto K.
When the error comes up, it says limit 4.77mb
That to me seems to indicate that the photo you are uploading is huge (over the limit which was set long time ago). Or maybe something on TRW website got messed up? The problem with all the "i" devices (iPhones, iPads) is that it is hard to get technical info about the photos (like their resolution or size). Apple just assumes that no "Joe Shcmoe" using the device should ever need to worry about those mundane technical details. But unfortunately in this day and age, we still sometimes need to worry about things like photo size.
You did a great job. All the warning labels really add to the realism even if NS never had any B40-8Ws.
I'd be in for three or four of them if you did.
