Wow. I'm actually scheduled to be in Plymouth/Logan UT from Feb 28th to March 6th.  We work weekends but I wonder if I can get some time off.

You should definitely try. There is some cool prototype stuff there too. An fef-3 dd40 and gtel 8500 turbine  among other things.

Just a bump as a reminder for anyone coming through the area this weekend. Be careful if you are in town though, I've heard forecasts for around a foot of snow Friday night into Saturday evening.

Sitting in Tremonton and looking out my hotel window I see traffic moving on I-15.  Looks to be only about 1-2" of snow at most here.

If I don't get called to install some patches for work I'm going to try to come down for the show.  Only 37 miles according to Google.  That's closer than the Plano shows are to me back in Fort Worth.

Is anyone else going today?

I'll be there around 11, I'm betting Nate is already there though. I didn't see Bob there yesterday, I'm not sure when or if he'll come either. I checked the weather and it looks like a few bands of snow between Tremonton and Ogden with a rain snow mix in Ogden

It was a nice show.  I got there about 1:30.  Looks like it must have been a good turnout. The place was packed. I wandered around a bit, took a few pictures of a bridge module on the Wasatch N-Trak layout.  One person was running a stack train around the layout. I didn't look at the vendor's stuff too much as I have no room in my luggage to haul anything back to Texas. I spent about 30 minutes wandering around outside looking at the FEF and DDX and the turbine.  Also looked over the 44-tonner and the ALCo 100-tonner.  Not sure about some of the info on the markers out side.

Isn't talking to factory reps at a trade show very similar to talking to Happy Harry at a used car lot ?

That's when I went to get me some lunch so we must have just missed each other. You mentioned a bridge module, if it was the 12' section with a tunnel in the middle that would be mine. The only other bridge on the layout is on the end loop with the mine scene. Scale trains and exactrail were both there. I have some pictures of the Scale trains tier 4 gevo, carbon black cars and new hoppers they announced not to long ago. I asked exactrail about any upcoming n scale items and the rep said they have a re-run of a car coming in April I believe, and they just finished tooling on a new car that they haven't done before. He's hoping to announce in June at NSC, but they won't announce if they don't have a finished model by that time.

That was the module.

I missed the ScaleTrains and ExactRail reps.  The place was pretty crowded and hard to get around.

Once again Railwire meet ups foiled by lunch. Darn the luck. Can’t wait to see pictures.

I've been waiting for this since I didn't get a lot of video of the layout, too busy running that non-prototypical excursion train. And yes the goofy looking, wide eyed, big dude is me.
I'll post more pictures when I get them resized and uploaded.
