I suspect they will be cheaper soon enough.

In new modern schemes I don’t have to paint.

With Body Mount Couplers... (For real this time.. or still a typo?)

Ya know if they retooled the car for body mount couplers and implemented etched end walkways/steps and side ladders ala gold metal models .. they'd have a pretty nice tank car and have an easier time justifying that $27 price tag..

And the LPG Tanks that are still out for pre-order are $27.89 MSRP...

Tank Train..? $28.32 per car MSRP

No kidding. This is a car I hope ScaleTrains does in the future, just so I can scrap my Athearn ones.

I remember when people who wanted nice details bought these.

Athearn's last run must have sold well.

I’ve got several sets of this GMM set for the tank cars in question. It works well.

Is the C&NW FMC a foob? My library is still crated and I don't remember C&NW having any double door cars like it.

Yes. They are stand-ins for rebuilt PS cars. Due to the rebuilding, the models are pretty close with the exception of the bottom sill.

Those work better with unassembled cars that cost less than $27....

"Squat down" would be a more accurate description given the CNW 67700's were rebuilt from 50' PS-1's...

All Athearn had to do was put that artwork on this car....
