Probably pick up one for my 5 year old, for some reason, he likes CSX. Which I don't get being he's only lived in Spokane WA and Las Vegas...

What was wrong with the Kato locos that came with the Micro-Trains trainsets?

Fine... as long as you don't model CSX.   They messed up that scheme.

I see them on occasion in Salt lake city, the road I see most of is surprisingly NS. A couple weeks ago there was a grain train with a UP at the head and 3 NS locos behind it one of which was an 80mac. I had never seen one before.

And, on the Big Sandy line in WV, UP locos are very common on the NS.  Maybe they have some type of pool agreement?

Actually, I've seen almost every major railroad on that NS line, sometimes more than one visiting road on a train.  Even CSX shows up on rare occasions.

The best was a nine-unit consist with NS, UP, BNSF, CP, CN, and CSX.  I can only remember seeing one KCS unit, and no Mexican roads.

Here in the Northeast near NYC, I've seen a CSX lead unit followed by a BNSF unit and then another CSX for a 3 unit lashup.  I was driving else I would have snapped a picture.
