@Lemosteam will be glad to see this - I finally finished his Raymond Loewy 3768 kit!

Hi Chris,

That just looks so good. Really puts the model in the correct perspective in that scene. A real tribute to your ability.

To go along with my ongoing challenge entry, I built a Hydraulic Engine Hoist from some of the styrene scraps.

After I painted the Hoist, I figured I might as well do a floor jack too.

Here's a mock-up of the buildings with equipment and clutter left outside.

A few more details to add on the buildings before painting, then time to prepare the spot on the module itself.[/QUOTE]

John @Lemosteam deserves HUGE credit here! I can't imagine how much time, focus, and attention to detail he has invested in designing this kit! The precision fit of the parts is impressive, and that all goes to John's skill and his passion for recreating this locomotive in N-scale. This model wouldn't exist without the tremendous level of time and effort he has invested in this project. My hat is off to you John.

That floor jack and cherry-picker are amazing! So well-done in such a small scale! Love 'em!

@cbroughton67 we need more pics, fam. Show it off. Build plates, functioning water hatches on the tender, etc.
You've been sanding for days!

I started sanding the shells tonight. It wasn't as bad as I thought.

Another big step forward on the layout these past few weeks with completion of track bus and auxiliary bus wiring underneath Chetwynd Yard.  Here is a section of the underside of the benchwork with the dual bus run for Chetwynd Yard, a separate bus run for Hulcross (future south staging), and the auxiliary bus to feed the turnout servos:

Time to flip the switch for the Chetwynd power district, sending DCC power into the yard for the first time:

The signal to break camp at Septimus and Sundance was given:

Work Extra 581 would be the first train into Chetwynd, seen here rounding the curve from the Fort St. John Subdivision:

Motoring through the newly laid and wired yard:

Arriving at Chetwynd station:

Then it was the turn of Work Extra 584, seen here coming off the Dawson Creek Subdivision:

Followed by Work Extra 812:

Power tied up at the shops:  C-425s Nos. 812 and 804 (ex-Erie Lackawanna) and RS-10s Nos. 581 and 584:

The next job will be to install all of the servos for the turnouts, and trim the throw wires.

That is as beautiful as any scratchbuilt model!    Have you ever worked for IBM?  :)

Yes, Tim, congrats, nice to see so much progress, above and below. Very neat, in more ways than one!

I'm particularly impressed with your power management panel. I have a bunch of temporary connections between the boosters and the layout, see pic below, and want to do something similar, and intend to put manual on/off switches to isolate each individual power district, in my case eight of them. Id like to learn a little more about your approach. Why the two separate LED's for "track power" and "DCC power"? Is it power in/power out?

I also really like the built in Rampmeter (although its useful to have one to walk around with to check voltage drops). Are the Amp readings cumulative or separable by district? And where do you measure Voltage, at source?

Very impressive work.

I put the finishing touches on my logging layout last night. Completed the shadow box, installed a 4' LED light, and added knobs for the Bluepoint turnout controls. I finished and installed the sawmill this week as well, and completed the scene around the sawmill. It's basically complete.
