In the city I work for, there is a three track crossing that works in sync with a single track branch line crossing because they are about 70 feet apart. I love it when the gates start to go up and the lead car zooms off only to get caught at the next crossing because of the next train coming. I guess people don't realize that when the lights are flashing it's the same as a red light. Even worse is the truck was a hazmat material which means stopping at all railroad crossings regardless of the gate state.
