Well, that is probably the one area where MTL is best. Your other points are well taken though. I haven't seen any need to buy MTL paint schemes where I already had someone else's version.
Here's a quick side by side - just considering the decoration alone for a minute. MTL on top, Kato on bottom.
It's an interesting container market at the moment, especially once FVM enters the field.
