Yeah... Some Conrail Exec owns (or runs) the railroad.. That is the scheme.. (There is a blue one in the fleet too.)

I've also seen pictures of Conrail locos, still in Conrail paint, on at least one Brazilian meter gauge line, the EFVM.  They did replace the 3-axle trucks with a pair of span bolster connected 2 axle, making the locos BB-BB rather than C-C.

This is the same line that has (had?) DDM45s, SD45s on 4-axle trucks.  One of each on a train looks a little strange...  A DDM45 MU'ed to a G16U "export unit" looks even odder, as the G16U's roof barely reaches the bottom of the DDM45's radiator grill.

Also in Brazil, and possibly on the same road, I once saw a picture of an adapter car, for coupling "wide" to narrow gauge.  Unlike the D&RGW, which used multiple couplers on each end, this one had mismatched trucks - wide gauge on one end, narrow on the other.  To couple cars on the other end of the loco, the adapter car would have to be turned.

That's a totally separate deal.. those guys are buying up older EMDs and GEs and converting them to meter gauge for freight service.. Some ex conrail/ns

And the adapter cars are neat, I think they have MU pass through so you can run standard and meter gauge together in one consist.

They are now getting into Dash 8s, Dash 9s and I think some GEVOs.

Edit.. EMD was making some SD70ACE-BB units..

I can see it now...  Last night RailPictures didn't want to work for me, so, seeing "Peruvian Conrail, I (incorrectly) assumed that they had also bought some used locos.

Do you know what railroad that "rumo" locomotive is on?  Wikipedia says that they operate standard and broad gauge lines, as well as an equipment leasing business.  Since that's meter gauge, either Wikipedia is out of date, or it's a leased locomotive.

And thank you for the page on the EFVM.  I never knew that they ran KM diesel-hydraulics.
