Did Atlas change the handrails on the GP7?

Atlas has posted the new run of GP7 locomotives and I find myself doing a double take on the handrails.  I have a few of these and always considered the handrails to be fairly fine (my GP30's are very jealous), but the photos posted look much thicker.

I'm I imagining this?  My GP7 has walkway mounted handrails, these look like they might be mounted to the sill.

That could be as my last GP-7 was the CGW release ~2006.

I agree. GP7s had round cross-section stanchions not flat pressed-metal ones.  That is probably GP9.

I also have an older, second-hand, non-DCC-ready GP7 where the handrails are noticeably thinner than the two GP9's I have (one with a DCC-ready drive and the other without). Always thought that was interesting.

7 or 9, it's what I had sitting around that I knew had seperate sills and walkways/handrails.
