I spoke with Kirk Reddy of N Scale Modeler and was told that Lowell Smith has purchased the line of Walthers n Scale lightweight passenger cars. I hope it’s true

I don't keep up with steam so that's quite possible.

That's one rumor.

Seriously.... I spoke to the Walthers vice pres in Orlando and told her they REALLY needed to re-run the Erie-builts.
She didn't know what I was talking about.
But asked me to write it down and she would pass it on to the R&D people.

I remember hearing that there were problems over the tooling ("lost" or broken moving from one Asian factory to another) which was why Life Like did not make more before Walthers bought them.  But if they still have the tooling, either they should make more or sell it to someone who will.
