I asked about the SD 38-2's today, and was told they are scheduled for late 18 or early 19.

Any news on all the F Units that's been announced? The FT's were due in June 2015, and they still haven't been delivered.

I've no interest in the Geeps, but I'm excited IMRC is branching out. That being said, IMRC seems to have some serious production issues that it can't seem to work out; and that has me worried about its stability as a manufacturer.


For my needs, I just wish they'd regularly stock F units in undec so I can just paint them myself rather than wait (and wait, and wait) for my (container) ship to come in.

I might have to purchase CR 7560 and or 7563 since the GP10's appeared to have frequented former RDG Territory quite a bit.

I guess the big drawback on the chop nose was the variability between roads.  They are promising road specific details, but the biggest visual difference in many cases is the nose and cab, with round-ish, old GM traditional, toaster edges, etc.  I hope they can engineer in some flexibility to produce at least some significant variations rather than go all in on the GP 10.

In general, damn, but good for them.  I am really hoping to buy no more locomotives, but their sound SD40-2 is great, may get more.  Always wanted a chop nose, as the perfect switcher for my switching layout.  Atlas and their IHB GP38-2 and new Alco 630 is also on the list.

I guess we never stop buying the good stuff.....we may just slow down in our old age.

the SP never chopped a nose. All of the Southern Pacific GP9 low noses came from the factory like that.
