That makes me wonder if maybe an Ouija Board, a seance, or maybe joining hands and lighting candles might help?

Candles?  Like in wax for FUD/FXD support structure? 
That might be an idea - wax could be burned off the 3D printed parts - just like a candle (in the wind).

Hell, I'll take just knowing what the formula of these crystal, so we can then work backward, given SR200 is vastly TEGDMA & UA family cmpds.

If we don't hear from 3DS and/or SW soon, harvesting a sample would seem the next logical step.

So @Chris333, what's the verdict so far on the ultrasonic cleaner?  I have a big order coming in the next couple days and I could run up to Harbor Freight and grab one if it might be worth while.

I'd say it's worth it just to not have to soak all day(s) you can be done in about 1/2 hour. Stuff does fizz off the parts.

As for the crystals well time will tell.

Thanks Chris.  I use tire cleaner to clean off parts and that only takes 15-20 minutes.  But I don't have a lot of experience with painting those parts yet.

Maybe I'll run up there to check them out.

Seeing now the specs only claim 6500 cycles / min?  So just 108 hz?  If that is correct, this toy isn't even close to ultrasonic... ~20,000 hz. 

Of course, it also claims to take AAA battery, and it takes AA.  CHIna! 

Truth be told, I've not tested her yet.  Can't get it away from my kid still!

Yes, cheap Chinese tool specs are not to be trusted. But then I would not buy an ultrasonic cleaner that runs on batteries anyway, especially on AA or AAA batteries. Not enough power.

I have an old small ultrasonic cleaner designed for cleaning refillable plotter pens. It runs off AC power and it uses unfiltered DC for the ultrasonic generator. It creates a blast of ultrasonic energy 120 times a second (form the unfiltered DC power).  I wonder if that is somehow similar to the 6500 cycles/min?  Probably not if that one is battery operated.

I know you are joking, but it will probably work and it's probably a bad idea.  It will make (tiny) bubbles.   Reminds me of a song.....(cue Don Ho).

Note the method of floating the bottles in a water bath, which will do more wave transference and less bubble-creating jostling.  (The formation of bubbles is mostly from the breaking of the surface tension of the paint and folding in air.

Might be just the ticket for those old metallics.
