Not canceled.  Postponed until either reservations are enough to produce the run or they can be combined with other models with shared components.  Most likely the end of 2018.

Half the schemes announced in the release were Conrail, some pretty cool schemes, so that solution isn't the magic potion.

I don't remember what was in this X58 run, but there wasn't anything my 1974 BN needed, so it was probably all too new.  I do have some of the X65s reserved, and am patiently awaiting a BN version of the CB&Q "XML-14" (X58).  Hopefully there will be enough orders to get this run moving, so the next one can be planned!

As many cars as the Penn Central and its predecessors owned, even BN modelers can use a good number, and variety, of them.

It is DSI-built, but a different class. Sliding door variation. It would be interesting to see though if P&LE painted them in multiple schemes throughout the years.

Bryan:  Thank you.  I didn't remember, if I ever knew, that the MILW had any X58s, or similar cars.

The closest I can find in my (very limited) MILW resources are the 3500 and 3900 series, built by ACF, but oddly having what look like PS ends.  Even if these are the prototype you're using, I'll be in for at least one, as long as it's in the original scheme.  Given the number of PS-1s masquerading as other builders' cars, a wrong end won't bother me, and if you have a better match in mind, I'll be even happier!

I don't remember the MILW number series utilized as the artwork was done at least a couple of years ago. Might be the 3900 series. As with the Burlington cars, the X58 is a very close but not 100% accurate MILW stand-in.
