So, I picked up a couple of hoppers from Bowser. These come in a variety of fictional schemes - I bought the Old Dutch cleanser and Sterling Salt schemes. While I was initially turned off that these were not prototypical (although the brands are real, there is no evidence I could find that hoppers were used to advertise them), the attractive paint scheme and humorous brand ads changed my mind. And I'm happy it did.
The hoppers come with knuckle couplers and metal wheels. No issues negotiating 11.25 inch curves. Well weighed at 26.5 gms (0.9 oz). The printing and painting is very crisp although the font seems a bit larger to scale. But in a fictitious scheme and something as beautiful as this, anything goes. If you get a chance to pick some up, don't let is pass.
