Got mine today. These are beautiful cars, with a couple caveats:

- The stock hoses are too long and create a tremendous amount of pressure between each car which makes them want to derail if you so much as look at them the wrong way. I trimmed each hose back slightly but, even with that, they aren't too happy being shoved against, especially in a curve.
- Nitpicking, but the wheel blackening on the tread is a pain for those of us who use resistored wheelsets. It'll surely wear off with some run time, but right now, detection can be a bit spotty. Fortunately that's not really an issue with so many of them running together.

BTW, when I put resistor-equipped wheel-sets into service, I polish the blackening off the treads with a rubberized polishing wheel in my Dremel. The process is simple and reliable - and the wheels look cool.

Did you ever try the steel wire brush attachment?  I used it on Kato GS-4 drivers coated with non-conductive blackening and it took the stuff right off. The wires are very flexible so they easily get in the area of where the tread meets the flange.

I didn't count his, but they should be in 12 car sets and it looked like 60.  36 in front and 24 behind the helpers.

That's awesome Tank Train there, just got mine yesterday will open the package today and check them out. It's nice to see more Tankcars in N. I've requested tankcars from Bluford shops too awhile back It would be nice to see different varieties of Tankcars just like they do with the hoppers. Great to see Athearn doing more N.

I wonder if the hoses could be replaced by some more spongy/rubbery tubish product - perhaps wire  insulation?  They seemed somewhat stiff...
