When I received the email and saw the road names offered I was heartbroken. Dog gone it Atlas, there are 5 road names I'd love to get, but my purchasing agent (read my wife) will not support that type of activity

Could probably use a few of the tank cars, but I can't tell from the pictures.  My days of buying decorated Atlas stuff may be over. 

If nothing else, maybe a flyer like Athearn does?

What sort of information is it you can't tell from the pictures/artwork that an Athearn-like flyer might provide?

There were 360 SD-35s, and 1,268 40s.

The Katos are ok, but there are so many paint schemes that would be wonderful to see done.

Well yeah.  Like the old Atlas catalogs, the Athearn PDF flyers are vector based so you can look at the 2" lettering like this -



No raster based image can ever compete.

The pictures on the Atlas site are just of the vector artwork.  It makes no sense convert it to a .jpg or whatever.

Regarding the Conrail SD35's, Atlas has road number CR 6023 in this release.  Road number CR 6023 was already done in the March 2009 release.  From the Atlas web site:

So Paul, is there any chance you can change the road number?  Maybe to CR 6024?  See here:

Kato limited themselves by only offering a Phase Ia with dynamic brakes.   This is also true for their HO SD40, but it at least had a scale-width hood that made it much easier to kitbash it into something different.
