draskouasshat:  OK, then I've learned something.  I've heard the term used in the US by the military, and a few industries, but not by railroads.  The Army has a lot of "depots", which usually make the news for chemical or nuclear materials stored there.

Most of my railroad exposure was in the Northwest, so it may be a regional thing.

Wasn't rail related, but made a trip to Ed K-land on Saturday (Aramingo and Orthodox Sts. in Bridesburg section of Philadelphia) for a kielbasa run. Followed with stops in Port Richmond for cheese steak pierogies (Czerw's) and early lunch of potato pancakes at Syrenka's.

No trains were injured in the making of that transportation.

Oh *****. Nice! That is EXACTLY my old hood. I grew up on Bermuda St.

No stop at Stocks Bakery? I would think no trip would be complete...

Also, did you catch them switching Honeywell?

There is very little in the Urban Dictionary fit to print on a family website...

Then again the Railwire has never aspired to be a family website.   :D  Hey, at least I warned you it was NSFW!  I recall a time of a virtual minefield of shock site links...

Not sure what you mean here.  I'm neither a mustang (prior enlisted) or an ROTC grad.  Went straight to OTS after my undergraduate degree.  The real issue is that my sense of humor is permanently left back in the 8th grade.

Oh, I wasn't offended by your link to the UD, or the content there.  I was just commenting, for those unfamiliar with the UD, that what they saw in that link was fairly typical of the site.

No need to trek to Lehigh Avenue for Stock's. We can obtain that goodness in Collegeville (and in fact one was sitting at home that day). Being a Saturday, no rail activity happening in the neighborhood.
