That seems like a pretty good deal for three assembled and painted cars with trucks and couplers.
Decals are in stock at Microscale. http://www.microscale.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=60-1314

The SP's cars were wood with 4' extensions because the beets are pretty heavy and the cars themselves were much lighter, permitting more lading.
The MT cars have 5' extensions on a Steel car.
I don't know for certain, but I'd imagine if shipped in Steel gons, they couldn't have extensions based on the weight of the car alone.

Peer pressure.   ;)

They came today...sure are purdy. Code 55 ME came last week from Black Forest Hobbies in Phoenix. Found some C-40 on Ebay ordering tonight. I almost changed my avatar i.e. Ed I thought about making my own C-40 with the Fast Tracks jig, ties, Pc board ties and C-40 ME Rail and by the time I got all the crap I need to try and the price, a bundle for 35 bucks aint' bad.

At a real crossroads. I have retired earlier than I expected, last week instead of Jan 1. Now my wife wants to extend her retirement to May. Means no move to Yuma in January but May. I have been working on multiple plans for the new layout and location and the one that is leading my interest is not The San Jac. A free form version of Southern California, but a fictious town and no LAYOUT DESIGN ELEMENT.

I can still work in a plan to build San Jac. Version 2. It would either replicate the last layout in the same space or one that would include a loop on both ends in 2' with Hemet and disappearing track along a backdrop on the backside.

I will be there for two weeks for Christmas and will make the final decision then.
