Anyone that walked the show see any 53FT well cars that will be coming out? I was hoping Deluxe would bring them out again, but as stated earlier, we might not see anything from Deluxe.  :(
Yeah loosing deluxe is a real bummer, I just got back from watching some trains on CSX and seen an old Twinstack double stack well car (the early 5 unit cars with the bulkheads) on a doublestack train , I got a Santa Fe one but would like to get a sealand one too.

Is it me or do the trucks on the MTL green PS1 look like they're set in too far?

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Can someone post photos of the modeling contest entries so we can all play along remotely? The NSE timeline shows the pickup date & time as Sat 06/24/17 between 4:00-5:00pm

Atlas releases the perfect compliment to the BLMA beer car.   The 40' well car is also very interesting... can't tell what the prototype is, exactly.  But why not do a 53' footer!?

Losing Deluxe Innovations is a huge blow to me - I was looking forward to the 1970s era 40' Sheet and Post Standard Height Containers.

Modeling intermodal in the 1970s remains a challenge.

Lots of goodies so far, especially for us modern guys. Any word on where next year's convention will be?

Is this the same, "squished" shell or have it's dimentions been fixed?

Same overall dimensions as the current 50' PS-1 cars. There was a thread back in late January when it was confirmed.

Why? Doesn't Intermountain pretty much already have the 4750 market saturated? Do we really need an improved model of a well covered prototype vs all new tooling?

The Red caboose line covered more prototypes then the 4750, and the Intermountain model despite being good has a few warts... (Soft tooling, lack of body mounted couplers) So I think there should be a market for both... Can always use new covered hoppers  :D

Amen. Any chance to weather up Super Shock for 1993 works for me!

The Scale Trains Gevos were stunning in person.  They would do the same for an SD40-2 IMHO.  Plus, they would most likely get a good return on investment with this model.  I am leary to buy IM diesels based on their SD45-2's.  I returned the four I bought due to poor assembly and painting.  Hopefully things have changed.

I highly doubt that would be a good business decision

The prototype is a Gunderson (of course) 48' All-Purpose well car chopped-down to 40'.   The TTX wells have had their hitch plates removed:

The NOKL sets have (mostly?) retained them:
