That's amazing.

Can I send you a pair of Valiants to have you put on the finishing touches?

WOW I can't believe how awesome that Batmobile is.
It was always my favorite version of them. I loved that series so much that I bought DVD bootlegs of the complete series back in 2007.
My favorite villain was Egghead.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Should have Batman and Robin 'walking' up the side of the building. It seemed like they were always 'walking' up the side of a building and people would open the window and talk to them. "Go back inside, good citizen". Also, who could forget the "BAM", "ZOOWIE" and "OOF" inserted words during the fight scenes...

Memories...

You could stencil Adams above the West Side Café, and that could be the owners car.  :D

Nice catch! I never really noticed the name of the Café behind the Batmobile!

Now if you can get Batman himself in N scale....  :D

Great work you go there!

Making a 1/160th scale Batman had crossed my mind. I had created some Star Trek fans who were outside my movie theater, so I think making a 1960's TV Batman would be within the realm of possibilities. Once I get the Bat Signal done, I may try to tackle this!

Thanks everyone for your comments on my Batmobile!

The technique I have used for painting the fine details is to get the body primed, sanded and painted with the base color. Once I am happy with that, I apply a couple of coats of clear gloss. I then use the cheap acrylic craft paints from Michael's or Hobby Lobby for the bumpers, tires, wheels and other details. One of colors I found was a metallic silver that works well enough for chrome trim.

I'll use a really fine brush or a wood toothpick carved to an extremely fine point to apply the paint. I try to get the initial application (like the Batmobile stripes) as good as possible, but there is always some excess paint that happens. I use another fine pointed toothpick (and a steady hand and a magnifier lamp) to carefully remove the excess paint. I'll do this while the paint has not dried and is still soft. Not a lot of pressure is needed. The gloss coat helps to protect the base color from getting scratched off. If you don't like the results, the still soft paint is pretty easy to remove with a damp tissue and you just try again.

When all of the detail paint is done, I will spray some semi-gloss clear over the model to help seal the paint.

Chicken45 - I'd be willing to help with the detail painting on your Valiants. I have followed your posts that detailed the work you've done on them and what you've accomplished looks really good! I'll send you a PM and we'll see what we can work out.

Thanks,
Bart
