The Weekend Update may be headed for the Crew Lounge, but the Proto Photo thread is clearly now out of this world!!!   :D

Here's a photo from a May 1989 railfan trip on SP's Willamette Pass at Odell Lake capturing a set of helpers going back down the mountain to Oakridge, OR in typical and unpredictable weather...

Here are some proto light weathering photos for @tom mann from Easter right outside of CSX's Collier Yard in Petersburg, Va.

I can upload a few more if you like. Also, I recorded some of the action including the Auto Train going Mach 5:

I'll admit, I have never seen a depressed center center beam flatcar before.

I dug up an old thread on just that type of car, lots of good links to more pics!

Was in San Francisco for 31 hours (and spent 26 hours to get there and back) for a business meeting.  Afterwards I rode a couple of PCC cars and a Milan car.  PCC 1051 was recently restored by my employer. Here's a cable car on Powell Street:

Passing Pier 1 on the way to Fisherman's Wharf for a clam chowder dinner:

This is a Milan car, which Muni plans to refurbish in the next few years.

PCC 1051 is a former SEPTA PCC, and honors Harvey Milk.

...and inside:

Lastly, the next PCC that will ship to SF will be 1062 painted for Pittsburgh.
